On a Personal Note

My wife has been on this lifelong journey with me; we met at age fifteen.

We have lived in and traveled to other countries around the world.  We have experienced more than seventy countries and over one hundred fifty major cities around the world.

We have been to such historical places as the Great Wall of China; gazed at the majestic waterfalls of Iguazu Falls, South America; we’ve stood at the base of Christ the Redeemer in Brazil; we were mesmerized by the stately Taj Mahal in India; walked like Romans in the Colosseum in Rome, Italy; crossed the treacherous Drake’s Passage to the waters and glaciers of Antarctica; marveled at the Pyramids of Giza; cruised the Nile River; swam in the Pacific Ocean at the Great Barrier Reef; visited Islands of the South Pacific; touched both Eurasian and North American tectonic plates in Iceland; Star City, Russia and Kazakhstan, where we witnessed a Russian Soyuz Launch; we’ve been humbled by  visiting a Holocaust site in Dachau, Germany; the WWII Japanese tunnels and U.S. Cemetery in Manilla, Philippines as well as the beaches of Normandy in France.

We have traveled to the sites of the Pilgrims from the Dutch Netherlands and Southampton, England where the Pilgrims left for America to finally land in Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA. My wife has been to the gravesite of her eleventh great-grandfather in Plymouth, Massachusetts. She is a verified and certified Mayflower Descendant.  Thanksgiving is a special and celebrated day in the Cantu family.

I have paraglided off of Signal Hill mountain top in Cape Town, South Africa; experienced the people of the Baltics; traversed one of the longest underground caverns in Europe; and we have experienced the wonderful cultures and religions from people around the world.  Needless to say, it has shaped our perspective and provided an understanding of business and life on this magnificent world of ours.

My past hobbies, skills, and licenses include music, airplane and helicopter instrument licensed, fifteen years as a one hundred ton US Coast Guard licensed captain owning over twenty-three vessels, Army Parachute Jump badge, underwater PADI Scuba Diver and FAA drone licensed pilot.
